Ideas your kitchen can cook
Most recipe apps assume a full kitchen. Moraine asks what you own first — then every suggestion sticks to that equipment, arrives with per-serving macros and a coach's note tied to your goals, and saves to a library you can edit by chat.
How an idea becomes a saved recipe
- 01
Your kitchen, on record
Pick from 20 presets on the Equipment page — oven, air fryer, Instant Pot, slow cooker — or add your own in free text. Or just tell the coach: “I have an oven, a blender and an air fryer” saves the list with a Kitchen updated chip. Equipment never costs a message from your daily allowance.
- 02
Ask in plain words
“Suggest something quick and high-protein.” The request goes out with your goals, your medical context and your equipment list, and the model is instructed to only use cooking methods you own — or propose an alternative when a recipe would need something you don't have.
- 03
A full recipe, not a link
Ingredients with quantities, numbered steps, prep and cook time, servings, and per-serving calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber — plus a coach's note on how the recipe relates to your goals. Medical boundaries are built into the prompt: it may say a recipe “may support” a goal, never that it treats a condition.
- 04
Iterate before saving
“Make it dairy-free.” “Double the servings.” Follow-ups revise the same recipe in place. Nothing reaches your library until you say so — then the reply confirms the save by name.
- 05
A library, not a feed
Saved recipes live at Recipes with search and categories (High Protein, Low Carb, Smoothies…), an AI badge on suggested ones, and your own manual recipes alongside. Open any recipe and “Request a change” drops you back into chat with it loaded for editing.
- Recipe macros are calculated by the model from the listed ingredients and quantities, using standard nutritional values. They are estimates — recipes don’t get the ✓-verified database grounding that photo logging gets.
- Matching means your goals and medical context. The recipe prompt doesn’t see your daily calorie or macro numbers — the coach’s note relates the recipe to your goals in words, not to what’s left of today’s targets.
- There’s no one-tap “log this cooked recipe to my journal” yet. When you cook one, tell the coach what you ate like any other meal.
